May 9 is a sacred date for every Belarusian. This day has become a symbol of heroic feat, a tribute of deep respect to the people who gave us freedom and peace, and saved all of humanity from the threat of annihilation.

Charging into attack at the front and fighting behind enemy lines, working at a machine tool in a factory and growing grain, every soldier and home front worker brought closer the joyous Victory Day. We are immensely proud of the greatness of spirit of our fathers, grandfathers, and great-grandfathers. Our hearts are filled with gratitude and sorrow. We bow low to you, warriors! Eternal memory and glory to your unfading feats! We will do everything to be worthy of you!
