Alexander Subbotin and Dmitry Demidov held a working meeting on the preparation and holding of the XI Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia
As the head of the region noted, the progress of construction at the facilities involved in the large-scale event is reviewed on a weekly basis, and organizational issues concerning, in particular, the work of sections and plenary sessions were submitted for the current meeting.
– At the moment, all sections have been formed, their location and format have been determined. In addition, several thematic exhibition areas will be operational. This is an exhibition of our Belarusian and Russian equipment on Freedom Square, and the achievements of the regions of Belarus and Russia – at the site near the amphitheater. Of course, enterprises of the Vitebsk region will not be left aside. They will present various fields of activity from electrical equipment to light industry. As of today, 25 enterprises have already been registered, – said the Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Anzhelika Nikitina.
As part of the "Intellectual Belarus" exhibition, the National Academy of Sciences, higher and secondary specialized educational institutions, as well as enterprises involved in the development of import-substituting innovative products will demonstrate their achievements.
Anzhelika Nikitina noted that participant lists are currently being formed. From the Russian side, confirmations of applications from the Volgograd, Smolensk, Pskov, Saratov regions and the Republic of Bashkortostan have already been received. Seven regions of Russia are ready to sign cooperation agreements with our region, and Simferopol and Volgograd – with Vitebsk.
A pool of contracts has been formed, and 178 contracts have already been concluded for an amount exceeding 300 million Belarusian rubles.
