Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin visited Orsha District on a working trip today.

The focus of the head of the region was on how the President's instructions on bringing order to agricultural enterprises are being fulfilled and how livestock complexes are prepared for the winter stall period, among other issues.

Together with the Chairman of the Orsha District Executive Committee Igor Moroz, he inspected the Ustensky Dairy Complex of the RUP "Ustye" of the NAS of Belarus, which houses over 2,000 head of cattle. The farm specializes in keeping Red Danish cows, which yield high milk production.

The Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee also visited the Ustye farm and then proceeded to the livestock facilities of UP "Zubrevichi-Agro," where he inspected the conditions for keeping cattle and young stock, and communicated with farm and complex workers.

Alexander Subbotin also visited a dairy farm near the agro-town of Mezhevo in Orsha District, where large-scale reconstruction is underway.

The project includes the construction of a cowshed, a calf prophylaxis building, three buildings for young stock, a shed for bedding material, 12 silage storage trenches, quarantine areas for bedding manure with slurry collectors, feed bunkers, and more. Construction work at the dairy complex is nearing completion. The head of the region inspected the progress of construction and installation work and the conditions in which animals are kept in the dry cow building.
