Anechka Yushchenko urgently needs help
Anechka was born on May 21, 2019, and was a long-awaited child in the family. She was the child of the 3rd pregnancy, with previous pregnancies ending unsuccessfully. At birth, Anechka had severe hypoxia and asphyxia, with a large hematoma on the back of her head. After birth, seizures began 3 hours later. She spent 9 days in the intensive care unit of the National Center for Mother and Child Health and 1.5 months in the Vitebsk Regional Children's Hospital. She lacked a sucking reflex, which later recovered. An anticonvulsant medication was prescribed.
At 4 months of age, we went for an examination at the RSPC "Mother and Child". After an MRI, little Anechka was diagnosed with cystic-atrophic changes in the brain. Epilepsy was diagnosed due to upward rolling of the eyeballs. We did therapeutic exercises at home.
Later, at 8 months, we traveled again to the RSPC "Mother and Child", and this time Anechka was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, as at that time she did not roll over and held her head very poorly. She did not hold toys.
Subsequently, the treatment course changed, and from March 2020, we started visiting an osteopath in Vitebsk at the "Grudnichok" center. Anechka's facial features began to change gradually, and her skull shape altered (her frontal bones were very high). Over time, Anechka became more lively, began to make sounds, and gave her first smile.
At 1.8 years old, they went to a rehabilitation center in Minsk, where during a consultation, the doctor told Anechka's mother that the girl would never stand and only needed care. These words sounded like a death sentence to the girl's mother.
After some time, Anechka's mother learned about rehabilitation centers for children with diagnoses similar to Anechka's in the Czech Republic. Following several rehabilitation courses, Anechka's condition improved; she began to chew, her spasticity decreased, and over time, with continued rehabilitation, her emotions became more pronounced, and she started attempting to roll over. Later, due to the inability to fly to the Czech Republic, as Anechka experiences significant discomfort during bus travel, they continued rehabilitation courses at the "Radost" rehabilitation center in Moscow. This was necessary because halting Anechka's treatment and rehabilitation was not an option, given the positive results achieved, and there are no similar rehabilitation centers in Belarus.
Currently, the girl Anechka requires continuous rehabilitation courses, which lead to an improvement in her well-being and progress in fighting the disease. The total amount needed for Anechka's rehabilitation is 51,330 Belarusian rubles.
