The special preventive measure will be aimed at reducing the risks of fires in residential buildings and deaths, as well as improving life safety culture among the population.

Emphasis in the work carried out will also be placed on visiting households and citizens' apartments that are most at risk of fires.

The following are planned within the framework of the measures:

· Preventive raids and inspections of households;

· Briefings and consultations for citizens on fire safety rules;

· Checks of the condition of stove heating, electrical equipment, and gas appliances;

· Work to identify and eliminate violations of fire safety rules;

· Reminder about the inadmissibility of leaving young children unattended;

· Monitoring the presence and operability of autonomous fire alarms (APIs).

We remind you, that since the beginning of 2026, 456 fires have occurred in the Vitebsk region, resulting in 46 deaths. 12 fires have been recorded in the district.
