Telecom workers, as IT professionals, expect the following issues to be considered: the approval of 5G as a national priority with specific project implementation timelines; emphasis on the digitalization of the real sector (agriculture, industry); continuation of the course on supporting the Hi-Tech Park and the IT sector as an economic driver; overcoming the digital divide and developing "smart cities". And, of course, a focus on cybersecurity and import substitution.
From the VNS in the field of telecommunications, a strategic plan with clear KPIs, identification of responsible persons, and funding sources is expected. It is anticipated that the forum will provide an impetus for transforming Belarus from a country with good internet into a country with a fully-fledged digital economy, where communication is not just a service, but a foundation for the development of all sectors and the improvement of citizens' quality of life."
