Belarus will consider the possibility of participating in housing construction in the Bryansk region

Belarus will consider the possibility of participating in the construction of housing and social infrastructure facilities in the Bryansk region. This was discussed at a meeting between the Minister of Architecture and Construction of Belarus Anatoly Cherny and the Governor of the Bryansk region of Russia Alexander Bogomaz, the ministry's press service informed a BELTA correspondent.

At the meeting in Bryansk, the parties discussed promising areas for the development of cooperation, including the supply of Belarusian building materials, the construction of bridges, housing, and social infrastructure facilities (schools, kindergartens, hospitals, and polyclinics). The creation of a universal environment in the construction of residential quarters was also discussed. The construction of a residential building with a kindergarten integrated into it in Gomel was cited as a successful example.

Summing up the negotiations, Anatoly Cherny noted: "We will consider the possibility of participating in upcoming tenders. We discussed the construction of social and cultural facilities. There are federal and regional programs for housing construction and kindergartens, with the possibility for Belarusian builders to participate in tenders on an equal footing." He also emphasized that Russian regions, including the Bryansk region, remain strategic partners for the construction industry of Belarus.

"We have already been convinced of the integrity of Belarusian builders and the high quality of their work. We will be happy to work with you again," noted Alexander Bogomaz.

In 2017, Belarusian construction organizations supplied products to the Bryansk region worth $160.4 million, which is 27.6% more than in 2016. The export is based on equipment and spare parts, wall materials, metal building structures, non-metallic building materials, prefabricated reinforced concrete structures and parts, cement, mineral wool and products made from it, etc.
