The Belarusian Red Cross announces a collection aimed at helping those affected by the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria

The Belarusian Red Cross expresses its deepest condolences to the families affected by the earthquakes. The death toll is steadily rising daily. People are still trapped under the rubble. The situation is exacerbated by harsh winter conditions.
Hundreds of volunteers and staff from the Turkish Red Crescent and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent have come to the aid of the affected. They provide first aid and psychosocial support, participate in rescuing people from under the rubble, provide hot meals, distribute blankets, receive the affected in heated tents, and ensure blood bank supplies. It is unknown how long it will take to clear all the consequences of this terrible disaster.
"In the coming weeks and months following the destruction, it is crucial to strengthen support. By joining forces, we can help save lives, rebuild the infrastructure of cities, and restore people's homes and normal way of life, lost as a result of the massive destruction caused by the powerful earthquake in the country," says Dmitry Shevtsov, Secretary General of the Belarusian Red Cross.
