Beshankovichy Residents Gathered at the Mass Grave of Beshankovichy Ghetto Prisoners

A quiet February day once again led us to a place sacred to every resident of the district – the mass grave of the Beshankovichy ghetto prisoners.

On February 11, 1942, the lives of 1068 of our compatriots were cut short here – the elderly, women, and children, who perished at the hands of the fascists...

Anna Klimovich, the creator of the volunteer project "Beshеnkovichi Shtetl Memorial Restoration," also participated in the memorial event. For her, as for all of us, this place is sacred.

"One wants to remember quietly here. We rarely remember the departed on other days. But it's good that this day exists," emphasized Anna Klimovich. "It is incredibly important to me that not only we, the families, but also Beshankovichy remember these people."

Our sacred duty is to preserve the memory, to fight against any justification of Nazism, and to never forget the victims of the genocide of the Belarusian people.
