Beshankovichy. Excursion to the fire station
As part of the "Holidays without Smoke and Fire" campaign, students from the school camp of Secondary School No. 1 of the urban settlement of Beshenkovichi visited the rescuers.
The event began with a demonstration of emergency rescue equipment; rescuers showed how to use emergency rescue tools and other firefighting equipment. Everyone had the opportunity to try on the rescuers' combat gear and sit behind the wheel of a combat vehicle.
Then, the rescuers invited the children to feel like real firefighters and extinguish a simulated fire: each participant had to "shoot" water at markers that needed to be knocked down.
Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations told the children the basic rules of life safety, emphasized the dangers that could await them not only within the school walls but also beyond, what improvised fire extinguishing agents can be used in case of a fire and how to use them. They recalled the emergency service phone numbers and what to say when talking to a dispatcher. Rescuers also once again reminded the children about the rules of behavior on the water, what games are safe, and what needs to be done to ensure that the summer is joyful and carefree.
