Beshankovichy. Summer patrol
Annually, during the summer period, the republican campaign "Summer Patrol" is held in our country. The main goal of which is to foster an understanding among the population of the importance and their personal involvement in life safety activities.
The Beshenkovichi district did not stand aside either. During the implementation of the campaign, activists of the Belarusian Youth Public Association of Rescuers-Firefighters, members of the youth law enforcement unit, as well as rescuers organized a raid on swimming spots and, due to the introduced restriction on forest visits, on forest roads.
The first place the raid group headed to was the recreation area "Chistye Prudy" (Clean Ponds). Fortunately, no unattended children or people violating water safety rules were identified. However, it is always useful to remind those present about the dangers of careless behavior on the water.
– Water does not forgive mistakes! – says Daria Beresten, inspector of the propaganda and public relations sector of the Beshenkovichi District Department for Emergency Situations. – Since the beginning of the year, on the water area
In the Vitebsk region, about 30 people have died, and despite the large-scale work being carried out, many do not consider it necessary to follow elementary safety rules: swim only in designated areas, do not swim beyond buoys, and do not leave children unattended. It is the duty of adults to ensure the safety of children!
The next destination was a forest road leading to the village of Khmelnik. Since there is no other road to the settlement, the villagers are forced to visit the forest. Members of the raid group reminded the villagers about the rules of conduct in forests, what measures should be taken in case of a complete ban on visiting forests, and also what to do if you witness a raging fire.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds! If you witness an emergency situation, call 101 or 112 immediately!
