Beshankovichy. Fire prevention campaign to ensure safe living for citizens
To prevent fires in residential buildings and loss of life. A series of preventive measures have been initiated in the Beshenkovichi district, aimed at additional training, explaining fire safety rules, and drawing public attention to the problem of fatalities in fires.
Today, rescuers from the Beshenkovichi District Department for Emergency Situations conducted a raid on residential properties within the territory of the Ulla rural council. The presence of autonomous fire alarms, the operational status of heating devices, knowledge of emergency service numbers, and the ability to respond correctly to emergency situations – these and other aspects were of interest to the rescuers during their home visits.
– We have to explain to many citizens why it is necessary to install autonomous fire alarms in every living room, – says Pavel Chaplinsky, Deputy Head of the Beshenkovichi District Department for Emergency Situations. – Even if a person lives alone, it is necessary to equip every living room with alarms, as the possibility of electrical wiring or electrical appliances catching fire cannot be ruled out. In such a case, a fire alarm will help detect a fire at an early stage and prevent disaster.
The population was also informed about the importance of the correct operation of heating stoves.
– A stove is the
heart of a home, and its condition can be judged by the attitude towards the
well-being of the household members, – shares his experience, inspector of the
supervision and prevention sector, Alexey Beresten. – An installed hearth rug,
the absence of cracks in the masonry, a plastered and whitewashed stove chimney
– this is not just a set of words, but rules written in blood.
Based on the results
of the raid, more than two dozen households were inspected, a number of
information materials were prepared for prevention entities, as well as letters
to able-bodied relatives of elderly citizens.
