Beshankovichy. Steps to Safety: Uniting Rescuers and People with Disabilities in Safety Training
Darya Beresten, Inspector of the Propaganda and Public Relations Sector of the Beshenkovichi District Department for Emergency Situations, as part of the second stage of the "Safety Day. Attention Everyone!" campaign, organized an engaging and educational event titled "Steps to Rescue" at the day care unit for disabled individuals of the district territorial center for social services. As part of the event, participants engaged in an interactive game that helped them learn the basics of safety and how to react correctly in emergency situations. The Ministry of Emergency Situations employee conducted a detailed discussion on the importance of knowing the basic rules of conduct in case of emergencies, how to properly call for help, and how to provide first aid to victims. The event participants actively engaged, asked questions, and showed interest in learning about safety. During the game, each participant could apply the acquired knowledge in practice by simulating emergency situations and participating in role-playing games. This allowed them to better absorb the information and remember it for a long time. Holding such events not only contributes to increasing the population's safety level but also promotes the social integration of disabled individuals, helping them feel like a part of society and participate in public life.
