Beshankovichy agrarians are engaged in a strenuous struggle for the harvest

Бешенковичские аграрии ведут напряженную борьбу за урожай

Every day of good weather, the Beshenkovichi grain growers are working to harvest the crops they have grown. Unfortunately, there are not many such days this year…

Our farmers do not recall such a difficult harvest. This summer has been a real test of their resilience. Due to heavy rains, the land cannot dry out in time, which hinders the passage of combine harvesters. In some fields, machinery has to be literally pulled out of the "mire". There is no time to wait for the grain to "ripen" either; it is brought to the required condition at grain drying complexes.

The importance of harvesting the strategic resource on time was once again emphasized at yesterday's conference call with the districts on the harvesting campaign by the chairman of the regional executive committee, Alexander Subbotin. "Every second counts on these sunny days!" he stressed.

Our farmers understand this and are making the most of any good weather windows. For example, over the last three to four days, they have managed to catch up significantly, more than doubling the harvested area.

As of August 31, 761 hectares of grain and leguminous crops had been harvested in the district, while as of yesterday, this figure reached 1523 hectares. The winter rapeseed harvest has also improved.

Now, it is important, and the head of the district, Galina Unukovich, urges the grain growers to focus on accessible areas, work in the fields from morning till late evening, and, of course, support each other.

We are confident that our rural workers will overcome all difficulties and make a worthy contribution to ensuring the country's food security!
