The issue of preventing child injuries remains acute in the district, as 65 cases of injuries sustained by children were registered in the first 6 months of 2021 (6 months of 2020 – 65). There were also two instances in the district where minors, not holding a driver's license, operated vehicles (moped, motorcycle).

The district prosecutor's office draws attention to the fact that the peak of child injuries particularly occurs during the summer period, which certainly should not go unnoticed: school holidays, trips to grandma's in the village, open windows, and inviting cool bodies of water – exploring unfamiliar areas, a child risks not only getting hurt but also causing serious harm to their health. One must always be vigilant with children; take safety measures by tidying up the apartment, house, and yard. Protruding pins, sharp edges, dangerous corners, access to electricity and chemicals, the possibility of falling – all this must be neutralized by adults.

There are also many old abandoned buildings and structures in the district that pose a potential danger to children. In this regard, do not leave minors unattended and unsupervised.

A special category is swimming in bodies of water (ponds, dugouts). Even after teaching a child to swim and explaining the dangers of depth, they should not be left alone with the water element; someone must supervise this process.

For reference: the district prosecutor's office reminds that the only authorized place for swimming in the district is the artificial reservoir "Chistye Prudy" in the urban settlement of Beshenkovichi. In turn, swimming in prohibited places entails administrative responsibility under Article 24.42 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus – a fine of 1 to 3 basic units.
