During the meeting, data for the Vitebsk region were presented: since the beginning of 2026, the number of drowning deaths has decreased from 31 to 24 people. In the Beshenkovichi district, 1 drowning was recorded during this period. The main causes of tragedies are swimming while intoxicated, swimming in unauthorized areas, and leaving children unattended.

"Children's safety on the water primarily depends on their parents," Alexander Erashov reminded.
