More than 2 hectares of planted forest, or how the 'Forest Week' campaign is taking place in Beshenkovichi
The forest is not something we inherited from our parents, but something we borrowed from our children. It is with this slogan that the rescuers of the Beshenkovichi District Department for Emergency Situations took part in the republican campaign "Forest Week".
The main goals of the campaign are the preservation and enhancement of forests, and drawing public attention to the solution of state-level tasks in strengthening the ecological, economic, and social role of forests. In total, rescuers planted over three thousand birch and pine saplings on an area of about two hectares. As noted by the head of the Beshenkovichi District Department for Emergency Situations, Kirill Myadel, planting forests is one of the most important measures in the fight against climate change and in environmental protection. It is within our power to take care of the future by making a feasible contribution to the creation of the wealth of our native nature.
