To prevent tragedies on the water!

As soon as the outdoor temperature approaches 25 degrees Celsius and above, people seek refreshing coolness by the water. For rescuers, however, rising air temperatures signal the time to conduct patrols of water bodies and remind citizens about water safety rules.

In the Beshenkovichi district, there is a designated area equipped for citizens to swim. OSVOD (All-Russian Society for the Rescue of Persons on Waters) personnel are constantly on duty here. They also ensure that recreation on the water is safe. However, there are several places in the district that are not intended for swimming, but instances of swimming in these locations have been recorded multiple times.

During preventive patrols conducted this week, no cases of citizens swimming in unequipped areas were identified. Citizens were observed relaxing by the water, and during conversations, they explained that they are aware that swimming is prohibited here and that they have been repeatedly instructed by rescuers.

During the patrol, rescuers provided instructions to 37 people. All citizens relaxing by the water were given informational leaflets and reminded that to avoid becoming part of the sad statistics, they should not swim while intoxicated and should not leave children unattended by the water.
