The House of the Belarusian Women's Union should become a center of attraction for women from all over Belarus. This was stated by the Chairperson of the Union, Director of the TRK "Mir" representative office in Belarus Olga Shpilevskaya during a conversation with journalists at a meeting with a delegation from the Vitebsk regional organization of the Belarusian Women's Union in Minsk. The event took place today, December 3, at the House of the Belarusian Women's Union.

Olga Shpilevskaya noted:

— Our main goal is to make our House of the Belarusian Women's Union a center of attraction for all women from all over the country. Here we hold not only cultural events, meetings with youth, legal consultations — today women from the Vitebsk region have come to us. There are several reasons: first, to present the exhibition of author's dolls "Feminine Essence". Second, to discuss important issues on the eve of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly. During the meeting of the Presidium of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly, the Head of State instructed us to discuss the socio-economic development program for the next five-year period as much as possible with the delegates, among whom there are many representatives of our union, and with the work collectives, because it must be realistic, understandable to everyone, as we will be implementing it. So our House of the Belarusian Women's Union is not only a cultural and social center, but also an informational one. I am glad that this is exactly how it is happening.

The Chairperson of the women's union proposed organizing visits to the House of the Belarusian Women's Union by delegations of female activists from different regions.

— We will be happy to welcome everyone and hold meetings with prominent people: they are ready to come to discuss issues important to our guests, — emphasized Olga Shpilevskaya.

The work program of the Vitebsk delegation also includes a discussion of the region's women's movement, a master class on New Year's decor by specialists from the Minsk Palace of Children and Youth, and excursions to the enterprises "Slodych" and "Kommunarka".
