A delegation from the Chuvash Republic visited the Beshenkovichi district
A delegation from the Vurnarsky Municipal District of the Chuvash Republic of the Russian Federation arrived in Beshenkovichi on December 16.
The visit of our Russian brothers is taking place at an official level. It is planned to sign an Agreement on establishing friendly relations between the Vurnarsky Municipal District and the Beshenkovichi District.
The Vurnary and Beshenkovichi lands are united by a common memory. In the village of Galyni, in a mass grave, lies Hero of the Soviet Union Stepan Illarionovich Illarionov, a native of the village of Kivsert-Yanishevo, now Vurnary District.
The guests visited the mass grave, where a rally was held with the participation of representatives of the authorities, work collectives, public figures, deputies, and schoolchildren.
"We live by common ideas, a common goal – for peace to reign over our countries, for the well-being of our younger generation," said Nadezhda Nikandrova, head of the Vurnarsky Municipal District, addressing those present at the rally. "I want to say, friends, a huge thank you for preserving our shared history."
