Representatives of the Vitebsk and Pskov regions gathered here for the 67th time to pay tribute to those who died during the Great Patriotic War.

The Mound of Friendship is a symbolic place where fierce battles took place during the war. The annual meeting at this mound has become a good tradition, strengthening fraternal ties between the border regions of the two states.

"Such events are of great importance for preserving historical memory and educating the younger generation. We must remember the terrible price our people paid for peace, and pass this truth on to the younger generation," noted the participants of our delegation.

Laying wreaths and flowers at the monuments on the Russian and Belarusian sides, fraternal embrace and joint performance of the song "Katyusha", work of thematic platforms, a prayer service for the fallen heroes, a concert program... The traditions of the meeting are unchanged!
