Environmental Protection Day

Annually on June 5, World Environment Day is celebrated in more than 100 countries worldwide, and it is considered one of the most important events in the ecological calendar.
In our country, by Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus, the Environmental Protection Day is established as a holiday on June 5, and its celebration coincides with the date of World Environment Day. On this day, employees of the environmental protection agency and ecologists celebrate their professional holiday.
In 2024, the information campaign in honor of World Environment Day is held under the slogan "Our land. Our future" we are #GenerationRestoration" and is dedicated to the problem of land restoration, the fight against desertification and droughts.
Soil, water, and biodiversity are the main vital resources for us, which are also important for the global economy. Rational land use, their restoration, and prevention of degradation are the task of the entire population of the planet.
To celebrate Environmental Protection Day in our district, the opening of an ecological trail at the educational institution "Ull Secondary School of Beshenkovichi District named after L.M. Dovator" is planned for June 6. Preparatory work for the organization of the trail was carried out by public ecologist N.V. Nesterenok of the Beshenkovichi District Inspectorate of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection with the assistance of the inspectorate and the Ull forestry of the State Forestry Institution "Beshenkovichi Forestry".
