About 200 young specialists from Vitebsk took part in the city forum "Vector of the Future".

The central event was a dialogue platform with the city leadership. Chairman of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee Alexey Geroev, heads of the administrations of Oktyabrsky and Pervomaysky districts Vladimir Beleevich and Evgeny Semenychev answered the youth's questions.

Addressing the youth, Alexey Geroev noted that in today's dynamically developing world, we must not forget what we have: a peaceful country, a rich historical past, the opportunity to work, develop, and express ourselves.

– I come from a simple family: my father was a driver, my mother an accountant, – said the head of the city. – I received a specialty in "Industrial and Civil Engineering" at a technical school and university, and my first job was as a leading engineer in a housing and utility department. At that time, I could not even imagine that I would become the chairman of the city executive committee.

Answering the question about what qualities should be developed for the successful performance of official duties, Alexey Geroev replied: communication skills, the ability to listen and hear people, and, of course, to be decent, punctual, and responsible in everything.

Alexey Mikhailovich was also asked what advice he would give to his younger self: "In-depth study of the English language, which I have to do now."

Alexey Geroev spoke about the development prospects of Vitebsk and assured that everything is being done to make it brighter and more beautiful. The city is a living organism, so utility services are not idle, and close attention is paid to cleaning and tidying up.

Alexey Geroev wished the youth to believe in their strengths, not to be lazy, and to work on themselves:

– Today, everyone has the opportunity to prove themselves and achieve what they want. Therefore, dream, create, accomplish!

At the "House of Cinema," forum participants were shown the film "Classy."

By the way. This year, about 1.5 thousand young specialists arrived at the enterprises, organizations, and institutions of Vitebsk.
