The intellectual potential of an individual is the most crucial factor and driving force behind the development of society and the state in modern conditions. The ever-increasing role of human capital in the development of the modern economy is evident. An individual with inherent abilities, knowledge, and the capacity to solve tasks creatively and unconventionally becomes the key to the success of new projects. To realize this potential, higher education is indispensable, as it provides not only theoretical knowledge but also the practical skills necessary for professional development.
The national education system and the development prospects of domestic science were discussed recently at Secondary School No. 1 named after I.I. Strochko in Beshenkovichi. As part of the Unified Information Day, themed "Education and Science – Driving Forces for the Development of Society and the State," an information and propaganda group, led by the Chairperson of the District Executive Committee, Galina Unukovich, visited the educational institution's staff.
As the head of the district emphasized, education and science are among the priority areas of state policy in our country. These issues are consistently given close attention at the highest level, starting with the President, who has repeatedly pointed out that it is people and their potential that constitute the country's greatest asset.
The Republic of Belarus is a state where the principle of lifelong education is implemented, and the right to free education is guaranteed. The course towards creating a social state has allowed for the determination of a correct strategy for the functioning and development of the education system. This is evidenced by macro-indicators from the 2019 population census, such as the literacy rate of the adult population (99.9%), and the coverage of the employed population with general basic, general secondary, vocational-technical, secondary specialized, higher, and science-oriented education (99.6%). In addition, special attention is paid to state support for gifted pupils and students.
Special attention is paid to the export of educational services, which is a promising area for international cooperation and strengthening humanitarian ties. Foreign graduates who have received education in Belarus are an example of people's diplomacy, contributing to the development of mutual understanding between peoples.
Priority directions of scientific, scientific-technical, and innovation activities in the country for 2026-2030 have been approved in Belarus. Annually, over 300 academic developments are implemented in various sectors of the economy, contributing to the enhancement of the Republic of Belarus's competitiveness in international markets. The country is engaged in systematic work to develop international scientific and technical cooperation. The state's main efforts are directed towards deepening interaction within the Union State, the EAEU, the CIS, and with far-arc countries. The achievements and successes of the Republic of Belarus's development have been recognized internationally. A particular source of pride is the active involvement of youth in science. Every third researcher is a young scientist under the age of 35.

During the Unified Information Day, discussions also covered the socio-economic development of the region, the implementation of the Year of Improvement activities, the legalization of real estate and land plots, and medical examinations.
