Electric heaters

Despite the fact that spring is pleasing us with good weather, and centralized heating has already been turned off, many apartment dwellers create a comfortable temperature for themselves using electric heaters.

Today, the market offers a widest range of electric heaters, among which everyone can choose the most suitable option for themselves. The first thing to remember when choosing a heater is the quality of the product with a manufacturer's warranty for the appliance. When choosing a seller, preference should be given to large stores that value their reputation. Refrain from purchasing electric heaters at markets, temporary kiosks, and especially from individuals. Carefully read the technical specifications and all relevant documents. Inspect the heater itself – it should not have any dents, damage, or strong odors.

Regardless of whether you choose a floor or wall-mounted heater, it should be placed in accordance with the operating instructions, at a distance of at least half a meter from flammable objects. When placing an electric heater near a window, it is necessary to ensure that it is not covered by curtains, which can heat up and ignite. Floor heaters should be installed on a solid, level surface.

Another important point is the direct connection of the electric heater to the mains. When turning on the heater, it should be remembered that it is a high-power device, therefore, the heater should be connected to a stationary socket to prevent overloading of the electrical wiring and its short circuit.

Like any electrical appliance, the heater requires careful handling. The first thing to do before starting operation is to carefully read the operating instructions.

Never leave a switched-on electric heater unattended, including overnight, and do not use them for drying clothes.

To avoid trouble, it is necessary to follow the simplest rules:

- do not allow children to play with or near electric heaters;
- regularly clean the heater from dust, after disconnecting it from the mains and letting it cool down;

- it is important to remember that each appliance has its own service life, which on average is about 10 years. Using it beyond the established period can lead to unfortunate consequences;

 - ensure that plugs and sockets do not overheat - this is the first sign of an electrical appliance malfunction or network overload;
- monitor the condition of the heating appliance: repair and replace parts in a timely manner if they fail;
- use only industrially manufactured appliances. Damaged, homemade electric heaters must not be used;
- do not place the heater's power cords under carpets or other coverings, do not place heavy objects (e.g., furniture) on the cords - this can lead to

damage to the insulation.

There are, of course, many Rules, but it is necessary to remember them, as your safety depends on it.
