Lukashenko sends Republic Day greetings to India

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India as the country celebrates Republic Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“This holiday embodies the age-old wisdom of Indian civilization, which serves as a solid foundation for the world’s largest democracy. The country’s achievements in economic development, innovation, and the social sector command respect and set an example for many states,” the message of greetings reads.

As the country presiding in BRICS, India contributes to strengthening a multipolar and fair world, the president said.

“Belarus is proud of its long-standing friendship with India. I am certain that our trust-based and mutually supportive cooperation continues to progress steadily and acquire new, practical meaning,” the head of state stressed. “I am confident that together, we can fully unlock our significant potential for cooperation in industry, digitalization, agriculture, and security.”

Aleksandr Lukashenko expressed hope for a meeting with Narendra Modi during the BRICS summit.

The Belarusian president wished the prime minister of India and all the friendly Indian people peace and prosperity.
