The traffic police will conduct a large-scale operation on the M-3 "Minsk-Vitebsk" highway
According to statistics, the number of traffic violations and road traffic accidents increases on the days preceding and during weekends. This is due to the indiscipline of citizens and non-compliance with traffic regulations. This particularly affects vulnerable road users such as cyclists and pedestrians.
In this regard, from October 21 to 23, State Automobile Inspectorate officers will conduct operations on local roads and in settlements of the region, characterized by the highest probability of traffic violations and the greatest risk of pedestrian and cyclist accidents. These operations will utilize covert and mixed control methods.
During these operations, compliance with traffic regulations by road users will be monitored. The State Automobile Inspectorate will pay special attention to violations that are the main causes of accidents with severe consequences: violations of traffic regulations by vulnerable road users, especially during nighttime; failure to yield to pedestrians; driving by intoxicated individuals and/or unlicensed drivers; speeding; and violations of passenger transportation rules, particularly concerning children.
In case of gross violations by road users, citizens are requested to immediately report to the State Automobile Inspectorate.
Dear road users, please be extremely attentive on the road, take care of yourselves and your loved ones!
