"Where there is a den, visit that house"

From December 26 to 30, 2016, the Beshenkovichi District Prosecutor's Office, together with employees of the Beshenkovichi District Department of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Emergency Situations, carried out the "Where there is a den, visit that house" campaign in accordance with the approved plan. The aim of the campaign was to prevent grave and especially grave crimes against the life and health of citizens, especially in places where antisocial individuals gather.

Prosecution officers, together with raid groups, visited residential premises registered with the Department of Internal Affairs as "dens," as well as other residential premises of citizens prone to drunkenness and violence, dysfunctional families, and inspected basements, attics, shops, and other places where antisocial elements and individuals on preventive registration with the Department of Internal Affairs congregate.

Raid groups, which included 21 employees from interested agencies, including 3 prosecution officers, conducted 90 preventive inspections, including checking 24 apartments with a "den" reputation, 32 basements and attics, 12 households with utility arrears, disconnected electricity, gas, and water supply, and visited 22 individuals on preventive registration. Employees of the Beshenkovichi District Department of Internal Affairs conducted 22 preventive interviews with the preparation of relevant protocols, issued 2 official warnings, and 4 individuals were brought to administrative responsibility under Articles 17.1, 17.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus. Prosecution officers conducted 24 preventive interviews and issued 13 official warnings about the inadmissibility of unlawful behavior.

The campaign had a certain preventive effect: during its period, grave and especially grave crimes against the life and health of citizens were not committed.
