Year of Improvement: The District's Image Depends on Cleanliness and Order
All visitors to Belarus, including our district, note the order and cleanliness of the streets, admire the stability and tranquility in society, and the development of social infrastructure. But a good host is one who does not rest on their laurels but strives to make their already well-appointed home even more comfortable, even better and more beautiful.
Not only adults but also children participate in the work to establish order on the land.
In 2025, all economic entities of our district actively joined the implementation of a large-scale plan of measures for the Year of Improvement, aimed at improving the quality of life of the district's residents, creating a comfortable and safe environment, and enhancing the overall aesthetics and landscaping of the territory.
According to the Department of Architecture and Construction, Housing and Communal Services of the District Executive Committee, in the first three quarters of the year alone, 12.976 thousand square meters of road network were repaired in the region's settlements, current repairs of 12.545 km of republican road surfaces, and current repairs of 14.975 km of25 vacant and dilapidated residential buildings were demolished in the district according to the Unified Register of Vacant Houses, and 3 vacant and dilapidated rental residential buildings that have been unoccupied for more than six months. 6.16 hectares of land plots on which such houses were located have been put into economic circulation. The annual plan for clearing 9 hectares of low-quality orchards has been fulfilled.
2 abandoned and unusable mine shafts were eliminated, 363 light fixtures were replaced with LED ones, 12 container sites were constructed and repaired, and 11 containers for municipal waste collection were installed and repaired, including 4 for separate waste collection. An ecological trail has been created. Burial sites were maintained in proper condition.
"Systematic work to bring order to the land is carried out annually. This is not a one-time action, but a planned process that continues constantly," says Yevgeny Kondratenko, Head of the Department of Architecture and Construction, Housing and Communal Services of the District Executive Committee. "Trees, shrubs, and flowers are planted in settlements, lawns are arranged, and small architectural forms are installed and repaired. This year, for example, we have 10 of them. As part of the celebration of the urban settlement Day, near the exhibition hall "The Bourgeois House of the late 19th - early 20th century in the town of Beshenkovichi," the grand opening of the art object "Boży śladok" took place, and recently we continued its improvement - we installed a decorative rotunda here.
A lot has been done in the district this year regarding the construction and repair of 12 sports and children's playgrounds on adjacent territories. 5 of them were installed in the agro-towns of Bocheikovo, Verkhovye, Ostrovno, Budilovo, and Ulla. The sixth will appear on Molodezhnaya Street in the district center. For the purchase and installation of children's playground and outdoor sports equipment here, the district executive committee, by its decision, allocated a monetary prize of 63 thousand Belarusian rubles, received by the urban settlement of Beshenkovichi for winning the republican review of the sanitary condition and improvement of settlements of the Republic of Belarus in category IV.
"Caring for children contributes to the harmonious development of the younger generation and the creation of a favorable environment for their growth and comprehensive development."
