District Head Galina Unukovich Assesses Readiness of Fodder Harvesting Equipment

Spring sowing is underway, but the fodder harvesting campaign is not far off. The workers of Beshenkovichi region are actively engaged in repairing equipment that will be used for fodder procurement. Today, its readiness was assessed by the district head, Galina Unukovich.

The Chairman of the District Executive Committee visited the mechanical yards and workshops of agricultural enterprises. Managers and those responsible for this area reported on the work done.

The readiness of agricultural machinery in the region is 67%. As reported by Vitaly Podrez, Chief State Inspector for Supervision of the Technical Condition of Machinery and Equipment of the Department of Agriculture and Food of the District Executive Committee, farmers in the region plan to use 10 forage harvesters, 13 mowers, 9 rakes, the same number of balers, and 3 combined balers with stretch film wrapping for fodder harvesting.

The highest percentage of readiness – 83.3% – is among the workers of SUP "Vyaderovo". The district head demanded to accelerate the pace of repairs. ZAO "ASB-Agro Novator" and KSPUP "PolitotdelAgro" have a lower percentage of readiness of units (61%); the workers of these enterprises need to make maximum efforts to complete the work on time.

Along with fodder procurement issues, attention was also paid to the orderliness of the mechanical yards. This was particularly emphasized during the discussion.

In the current season, Beshenkovichi farmers need to procure at least 32.5 thousand tons of feed units of green fodder (at least 38.4 centners of feed units per conventional head).
