Igor Karpenko: "The topic of youth policy in the electoral sphere is relevant, and we are open to communication and interaction"
The topic of youth policy in the electoral sphere is relevant, and we are open to communication and interaction. This was stated by the Chairman of the Central Election Commission Igor Karpenko during a meeting with the region's activists in Vitebsk.
The head of the central election commission thanked the representatives of the region who made a significant contribution to the organization and conduct of election campaigns.
– The electoral system worked in accordance with the current legislation, and we received appropriate feedback from both national and international observers, – Igor Karpenko emphasized. – The meeting with the activists of the Vitebsk region is held not only to thank and present awards for a competently and clearly organized electoral process. During such events, we traditionally discuss issues that, in our opinion, need to be improved in the electoral system. After all, the past election campaign marks the start of preparations for the next one, which will take place in five years, in 2030. Therefore, we aim to discuss existing problems, possibly to work on some mistakes. It may turn out that some nuances need to be addressed, including in terms of improving electoral legislation and electoral technologies. This is the purpose of such events, which we hold in all regions of Belarus.
