Igor Sergeenko Familiarized Himself with the Progress of Preparations for Spring Field Work in Miory District

As part of the directive from the President of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly, Igor Sergeenko, made a working trip to Miory District. He visited a number of agricultural enterprises and became acquainted in detail with the situation at each farm, identifying problem areas. He paid special attention to the readiness of agricultural machinery for spring field work, the conditions for keeping livestock, the availability of feed, and the conditions for its storage.

Specifically, at OAO "Lyubinovo," the situation is as follows: milk yield per cow is slightly over 4 liters, and weight gain for cattle is about 300 grams. This is clearly insufficient. Specialists from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food emphasized to the head the need for more rigorous accounting and identification of cows, conducting breeding work, and ensuring epidemic safety. They cited leaders in this field as examples: at SUP "Titovo," milk yield per cow exceeded 6 thousand tons per year, and at OAO "Shaiterovo" in Verkhnedvinsk District, it reached 8 thousand.

Attention should also be paid to the quality of feed. A sufficient amount was procured last year, but it is important to preserve it.

Regarding the readiness of agricultural machinery for spring field work, at OAO "Lyubinovo" it is 73.3%. The machine and tractor fleet requires modernization. Some repairs are carried out in-house, and assistance is also requested from specialized enterprises. Meanwhile, the summer grazing season is not far off. Igor Petrovich instructed to accelerate the preparation of mobile milking units.

In UP "Cheressy", all trailed equipment is ready for sowing, and tractors will be put on standby in the second decade of March. Livestock performance is at the district average: about 10 liters of milk are obtained per cow per day, and the weight gain of heifers is around 500 grams. The farm has prospects.
