Young rescuers in action

It is common knowledge that rescuers have loyal assistants – young rescuer-firefighters. And since everyone without exception, including the rescuers' assistants, needs to improve their skills and abilities, a practical training session on the use of fire extinguishers was organized the other day at the Beshenkovichi District Department for Emergency Situations. Thus, during the meeting with firefighters, young rescuers not only theoretically reviewed the types of fire extinguishers and how to use them but also had the opportunity to personally extinguish a simulated fire source.

Training sessions allow children not only to theoretically know the rules of conduct in emergency situations but also to practically practice the skills of using a fire extinguisher. The ability to use a fire extinguisher can be useful at any moment in life, therefore, every person must know about its design and principle of operation. In case of a nascent fire, it can save property and life, and also help contain the spread of fire until the firefighters arrive.
