To the 75th Anniversary of the Liberation of Beshenkovichi District from Nazi Invaders
On June 26, 2019, a military-historical reconstruction of the liberation of Beshenkovichi District from Nazi invaders was held on the territory of the "Uzrechye" memorial complex in Beshenkovichi District. During the event, a boat crossing of the Western Dvina, the capture of the bank by Red Army soldiers, battles, and skirmishes using pyrotechnic means were recreated.
The memorial complex consists of a monument and a mass grave where 213 Soviet soldiers who died during the liberation of Beshenkovichi District are buried, including 8 Heroes of the Soviet Union.
The Prosecutor of Beshenkovichi District, A.A. Starchenko, also took part in the event, laying flowers at the monument to the heroes who fell in battles with Nazi invaders during the Great Patriotic War.
