To the attention of subsoil users

As of April 1, the norms and rules for the rational use and protection of subsoil came into force.

By Resolution of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus dated November 17, 2022, No. 20-T, the norms and rules for the rational use and protection of subsoil GeoNiP 17.04.02-007-2022 "Environmental protection and nature management. Subsoil. Requirements for accounting for the volume of minerals and overburden during open-pit mining of minerals" (hereinafter referred to as GeoNiP 17.04.02-007-2022) were approved, and by Resolution of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus dated December 19, 2022, No. 29-T, the norms and rules for the rational use and protection of subsoil GeoNiP 17.08.03-008-2022 "Environmental protection and nature management. Subsoil. Procedure for filling out passports, catalogs, registration cards of deposits (parts thereof) and manifestations of minerals, geothermal subsoil resources, single water intakes, individual boreholes intended for hydrocarbon extraction, as well as underground spaces that are used or can be used for purposes not related to mineral extraction, and their accounting" (hereinafter referred to as GeoNiP 17.08.03-008-2022) were approved.

As of April 1, 2023, subsoil users are obliged to apply GeoNiP 17.04.02-007-2022 when accounting for the volumes of minerals and overburden during open-pit mining of minerals, and subsoil users who have carried out geological exploration of subsoil and provide geological information for maintaining the state subsoil cadastre are obliged to apply GeoNiP 17.08.03-008-2022 when filling out passports, catalogs, and registration cards of accounting objects established in paragraph 3 of Article 77 of the Subsoil Code of the Republic of Belarus.
