"We have thoroughly prepared for winter conditions," notes Igor Slivets, director of the UP Housing and Communal Services "Beshenkovichi Kommunalnik". "There is a sufficient fuel reserve at the boiler houses, heat supply is regulated depending on the outdoor temperature. Constant monitoring of the operation of heating networks is carried out, and the number of their inspections has been increased. The service ensures the constant presence of repair crews ready to promptly eliminate possible malfunctions."

Electric Networks Department

The electric networks department has also been put on high alert. Control over the operation of substation equipment and power transmission lines has been strengthened, and backup power sources have been prepared. Emergency repair crews, equipped with the necessary protective equipment, tools, and special machinery, are ready to eliminate possible technological disruptions.

Central District Hospital

As commented by Svetlana Roshchina, chief physician of the Central District Hospital, the medical staff of the central district hospital is ready to provide emergency assistance to residents and guests of the region if necessary.

"We do not observe a surge in ice and cold-related injuries in our district; their number is at last year's level," emphasized the chief physician. "We appeal to the residents of the region with a request: when going outside, be attentive and dress appropriately for the weather."

Law Enforcement Agencies

Employees of the Rescue Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (ROChS), the Department of Internal Affairs (ROVD), and the State Automobile Inspectorate (GAI) are on constant combat readiness. Additional training sessions have been conducted with personnel on actions in extreme weather conditions.
Next week, rescuers will check whether residents of the district are observing fire safety rules. From January 19 to 24, a set of special preventive measures called "Home Without Fire" will be held in the region.

"The goal of the campaign is to reduce the risks of fires in residential buildings and the resulting fatalities, and to enhance the population's life safety culture," notes Pavel Chaplinsky, Deputy Head of the Beshenkovichi ROChS.

In the Beshenkovichi district, as in all districts of the region, temporary accommodation points for citizens with hot meals provided have been designated at schools located near highways. The location of these points has been coordinated with the territorial units of the GAI. In our district, these are Ostrovenskaya, Rzhavskaya, Bocheikovskaya, and Ullskaya schools.

However, despite the work of the services, it is important to remember that every citizen is obliged to observe personal safety rules, monitor the condition of their homes and vehicles, wear weather-appropriate clothing, and limit children's outdoor activities during severe frost.
