By Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus dated January 3, 2025, No. 1, the current year is declared the Year of Landscaping. According to the Regulation on the Procedure for Determining the Sizes (Boundaries) of Territories for Performing Work to Maintain Their Proper Sanitary Condition, approved by the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated July 22, 2020, No. 430, legal entities, individual entrepreneurs, and citizens are involved in performing work to maintain the proper condition of designated territories by relevant decisions of local executive and administrative bodies. Information about the decisions made is posted on the official websites of local executive and administrative bodies on the global computer network "Internet" and is communicated in the prescribed manner to legal entities, individual entrepreneurs, and citizens.

Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated November 17, 2021, No. 668 "On Tidying Up the Land" establishes criteria for tidying up, including on lands of common use in settlements.

!We remind you that the following work must be carried out on the territories of institutions, organizations, and enterprises of all forms of ownership and their adjacent designated territories to maintain their proper sanitary condition:1. Cleaning and tidying of territories (sweeping of surfaces, removal of accidental litter, emptying of litter bins) — as needed.
2. Sanitary and technological measures (pruning, mowing, waste removal, etc.) during landscaping work (lawns, other green spaces) — as needed (from May to September).
3. Clearing of all types of surfaces from snow and ice, treatment with anti-icing agents — as needed (during the winter period), in conditions of heavy snowfall, blizzards, and icy conditions — constantly, but not less than once a day.
4. Collection, sorting by type, and removal of municipal waste — in accordance with the municipal waste management scheme.
5. Cleaning and tidying of open-type drainage systems for surface and groundwater drainage (ditches, channels, culverts) — as needed.

Violation of the Rules for the Improvement and Maintenance of Settlements entails administrative liability under Part 2 of Article 22.10 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus. This article provides for a fine of up to 25 base units for individuals, from 10 to 50 base units for individual entrepreneurs, and from 20 to 100 base units for legal entities.
By improving the territory of an institution, organization, or enterprise of any form of ownership, or a personal plot, everyone contributes to improving the sanitary condition of settlements. Only through joint efforts will we establish order and achieve success!
