How Schools in Beshenkovichi District are Preparing for the New Academic Year
The student contingent for the new 2025/2026 academic year will be 1604 children (compared to 1652 in 2024/2025), including 1254 children in general secondary education institutions, 350 in preschool education,Current repairs have been completed for a total amount of approximately 160 thousand rubles. This includes the current repair of the corridor floors on the 1st and 2nd floors at Rzhavskaya Secondary School named after M. Gelovani (32 thousand rubles), the current repair of Armstrong ceiling tiles in the 1st-floor corridor on the staircase landing at Ostrovenskaya Secondary School named after K. A. Abazovsky (23 thousand rubles), the current repair for the replacement of window and door units at Ullskaya Secondary School named after L. M. Dovator (28 thousand rubles), and the current repair of the asphalt concrete pavement at Kindergarten No. 6 in Beshenkovichi urban settlement (76 thousand rubles).
In addition, by the beginning of the new academic year, work will be completed on equipping the building of Ullskaya Secondary School named after L. M. Dovator with an automatic fire alarm system (APS - Molniya) for 112 thousand rubles, and the current repair of the APS in the building of Bochaykovskaya Secondary School named after M. A. Vysogorets (approximately 30 thousand rubles). Educational, technological, sports, and other equipment has also been purchased for the needs of educational institutions for approximately 200 thousand rubles.
The Education Department has analyzed the reasons for the failure to implement priority measures aimed at ensuring safety in educational institutions in 2023-2024 (the main reason being the lack of funding). In February 2025, a plan of measures to ensure safety in educational institutions was developed and approved, indicating the timelines and funding amounts. Currently, all these measures have been fully implemented. The total amount of budgetary funds spent was 204 thousand rubles. The work on equipping educational institutions with video surveillance systems and panic buttons has been fully completed.
According to the decision of the Regional Executive Committee dated May 23, 2025, No. 385 "On the progress of preparing educational institutions for the new 2025/2026 academic year," 4 educational institutions were identified in the Beshenkovichi district: Rzhavskaya Basic School named after M. Gelovani, Kindergarten No. 1 in the urban settlement of Beshenkovichi, Korenevsky Kindergarten, and the Beshenkovichi Center for Children and Youth. Their buildings were subject to inspection by specialized organizations as a priority. The necessary inspections were carried out by Private Unitary Enterprise "GarantExpert" with the provision of technical reports for each facility. The overall technical condition of the building structures of all inspected educational institutions is assessed as operational (satisfactory). The buildings of the educational institutions are suitable for further use for their intended purpose.
There are no problems in the district with organizing children's transportation. The bus fleet of the center for ensuring the activities of budget organizations includes 11 buses. Ten of them have a service life of less than ten years (9 are in operation on routes, 2 are reserve).
There are currently no vacancies for school bus drivers, nor for heads of educational institutions or heads of military-patriotic education. There are also no problems with purchasing business-style clothing (items) for schoolchildren.
Nikolai SHIPULYA, Head of the Education Department of the Beshenkovichi District Executive Committee.
