In the agro-town of Ostrovno, at the mass grave of Soviet soldiers, the monument has been repaired, 14 new plates with the names of the buried heroes have been installed, and acacia bushes have been planted in the adjacent territory. Employees of the Ostrovno Village Executive Committee, SUP "Vyaderevo", and the State Educational Institution "Ostrovno Secondary School of the Beshenkovichi District" worked on the improvement of the monument. Funds from the district budget were used for the work under the program "Perpetuating the Memory of the Defenders of the Fatherland and Victims of Wars."

In the urban-type settlement of Beshenkovichi, on the territory of the state educational institution "Secondary School No. 2 of Beshenkovichi named after Hero of the Soviet Union Mikhail Nikolaevich Tkachenko," an improvement of a land plot of more than 100 square meters has been carried out, a lawn of 20 square meters has been laid, and small architectural forms in the shape of the Order of the Patriotic War and an old clock have been installed. Funds from the district budget and sponsors were used for the work. In addition, thuja saplings were purchased using funds received from the secondary employment of students, who also planted them and are carrying out further care.
