Karpenko: The presidential elections in Belarus were held in full compliance with the principles of openness and transparency

The presidential elections in Belarus were held in full compliance with the principles of openness and transparency, stated Igor Karpenko, Chairman of the Central Election Commission, at a meeting of the CEC.

"On January 26, 2025, the presidential elections of the Republic of Belarus were held. The campaign was conducted within the timeframe established by national legislation, based on the requirements of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus and the Electoral Code, in full compliance with the principles of openness and transparency, with the participation of a wide range of observers, both national and foreign. The elections were widely covered in the information space, including on the official website, social media, and messengers of the Central Election Commission," Igor Karpenko said.

The head of the CEC noted the high-quality work of the Information Center, "whose platforms allowed for timely coverage of the voting process, providing voters, observers, and the media with up-to-date information, connecting regions in real-time to inform about the current situation, including at polling stations, throughout election day."
