Emergency Commission on the Safety of Residents of Beshenkovichi District

In order to coordinate the actions of the district services for the prevention and liquidation of various emergencies and the minimization of their consequences, a regular meeting of the commission for emergency situations under the Beshenkovichi District Executive Committee was held at the Beshenkovichi District Executive Committee, chaired by the Deputy Chairman of the Beshenkovichi District Executive Committee, Ovchinnikov Sergey Mikhailovich.

In accordance with the agenda of the emergency commission meeting, a number of issues related to life safety were considered. The main ones were the issues of readiness for the spring flood and preparation for the spring-summer fire hazardous period.

All interested parties participated in the commission meeting, including the Department of Internal Affairs, the Department for Emergency Situations, representatives of healthcare, agriculture, energy, gas services, chairmen of rural executive committees, and others.

During the commission meeting, an analysis of past flood periods was carried out and a forecast for the current one was made. Specific instructions were given to the district services, including on cleaning drainage ditches and pipes.

The state of affairs in preparation for the fire hazard period was also reviewed. All issues raised were considered, and as a result, a number of district managers and officials reported on the state of affairs in their assigned areas of work. Specific instructions with deadlines for their implementation were given to the interested prevention entities.

We would also like to remind you that every year with the arrival of spring warmth, a real ecological disaster occurs – the burning of dry last year's vegetation. Often, careless and thoughtless actions lead to serious consequences, cause damage to agricultural and private properties, and in some cases pose a real threat of fires.

Dear residents and guests of the district, please take measures to

clearing areas adjacent to buildings of debris and dry vegetation, do not allow the burning of dry vegetation, do not light fires in unauthorized places, be extremely careful when handling fire, take immediate measures to extinguish burning dry vegetation and promptly call the Ministry of Emergency Situations units by phone 101 or 112. All these measures will help protect buildings, property, and most importantly, the life and health of people around us from fire.
