Publications Contest.
Annually, applications for participation in the republican competition for the best publication on environmental topics, held by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection in the nomination "Our Common Home", are accepted until May 15.
This year, works published in periodic printed publications from May 15, 2023, to May 15, 2024, are eligible for participation: essays, articles, reports, reviews, sketches, notes, and comments on careful attitude towards nature, tidying up the land, improving the territories of settlements, waste management, protection of water resources, atmospheric air, fauna and flora, implementation of new technologies in environmental protection, conservation of natural monuments, and other materials on environmental protection and rational use of natural resources. Each competition entry must have only one author.
The competition is traditionally held in two stages (regional and republican), in three categories: "students", "amateurs", and "professionals".
When evaluating the works, the completeness of the topic disclosure in the nomination, the number of publications by one author, their educational and social value, and the vividness and originality of the material presentation are taken into account.
Winners will be awarded diplomas and monetary prizes in accordance with the legislation.
