«Green Eurasia» Competition
The Beshenkovichi District Inspectorate
for Natural Resources and Environmental Protection informs that applications are currently being accepted for participation in the Second International Climate Competition "Green Eurasia".
The "Green Eurasia" Competition is established by the Autonomous Non-profit Organization "Agency for Strategic Initiatives for the Promotion of New Projects" in conjunction with the Eurasian Economic Commission to identify technological leaders of the "green agenda" and promote effective practices for climate mitigation and adaptation.
Commercial organizations, state institutions, authorities, local self-government bodies, non-profit organizations and associations, and individuals from EAEU member states and third countries can participate in the competition.
Competition nominations:
state policy and finance (management decisions and programs in the field of climate adaptation and mitigation implemented at the national, regional, and municipal levels);
climate mitigation (practices aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions, including implemented climate projects);
climate adaptation (practices aimed at: ensuring the preservation of health and comfortable living conditions for people in the context of climate change; reducing losses associated with climaticchanges; the use of new economic and social opportunities driven by climate change);
education and training (practices aimed at raising awareness and training personnel in the field of low-carbon development and climate adaptation).
Applications are accepted until March 31, 2024.
Participation in the competition is free; each organization can submit applications for participation in no more than 5 projects in different nominations. To participate, you need to register and submit an application on the website of the "Green Eurasia" competition at the link: https://greeneurasia.asi.ru.
Based on the results of the work of the Expert Group and the Presidium of the competition, a winner (1st place) and finalists (2nd and 3rd places) will be determined in each nomination.
