A total of over 30 youth projects from cities and districts of the region were presented. The participants faced a difficult task – to present their brainchild in just three minutes and convince the competent jury, headed by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies Dmitry Demidov, that their initiative is the best.

– This is the first project designed to give the most active representatives of our youth an opportunity to prove themselves, to express their ideas in the field of developing their small homeland, – noted Dmitry Demidov. – We did not limit the themes of the initiatives so that the young people could fully realize their potential, talents, and convey their vision of what is happening in the region, make proposals aimed at improving work with youth, and feel like subjects of the processes taking place in our region.

The works presented at the competition concerned various aspects of life, but most importantly, they were all done with love and aimed at improving people's lives, implementing ideas for improvement and preservation of historical memory, and creating conditions for sports and recreation. Youth from Vitebsk, Orsha, Tolochin, Senno, Shumilino, Dubrovno, Glubokoye, Miory, Dokshitsy, Beshenkovichi, Rossony "designed the future," of course, using modern technologies and knowledge.

The jury had a difficult task, but in the end, three winners were named who will receive funding of up to 6,000 rubles from the regional Association of Local Councils of Deputies. These are the projects "Pedal for Health and a Clean Planet" (Tolochyn), "Freedom of Creativity Without Age and Borders" (Dokshytsy), and "Creation of a Relaxation Room" (Bogushevsk urban settlement, Sennensky district).

– You have charged us with your energy, – said Dmitry Demidov, summing up the competition. – The winners have been determined, but many of the ideas voiced here have been noted for future implementation. I am confident that not only these three projects will be brought to life in the future.

– To be honest, we didn't expect to win at all, – said Anna Kulik, Deputy Head of the Department of Architecture and Construction of the Tolochyn District Executive Committee. – Our project is aimed at developing an eco-trail and creating a bicycle rental service. And this is something our city truly lacks.
