President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated President of Botswana Duma Bok on the national holiday - Independence Day. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Belarusian leader.

"The people of Botswana, who have been adhering to an independent model of state development for more than half a century, have achieved significant results in ensuring economic growth and the strength of the political system," the congratulatory message reads.

The Head of State emphasized that Belarus considers Botswana its good partner in Southern Africa and attaches great importance to strengthening relations of friendship and cooperation. "We have significant potential for increasing mutual trade and deepening bilateral ties in all areas," he is confident.

The President noted the intensification of contacts between the ministries and business circles of Belarus and Botswana in 2025. "I hope that in the near future we will launch joint projects in the areas of industrial modernization, ensuring food security, mechanization of agriculture and others that are of fundamental importance for both states. I invite you to visit the Republic of Belarus on an official visit at a convenient time," the Belarusian leader added.

Alexander Lukashenko wished Duma Bok good health, personal happiness and success, and the people of friendly Botswana - peace and harmony.
