The main task is to ensure reliable supply of electricity and heat to the population, and to respond promptly to possible emergency situations. This issue is under the special control of the head of state.

The Deputy Prime Minister reported on the situation in the country on January 27-28 during the period of deteriorating weather conditions. Power supply disruptions were recorded in 475 settlements. Of these, power supply has already been restored in 450 according to the standard scheme. In the remaining ones, the task is to complete the relevant work within January 28. At the same time, there were no disconnections in the backbone power transmission lines.

The President was informed that the Minsk and Gomel regions were the most affected, and partially the Vitebsk region. There are 690 crews equipped with modern equipment and machinery for repair work in the country. If necessary, they can be additionally redeployed to any affected region.

The report to the President also touched upon issues of centralized heating of settlements. Currently, operations are organized in a standard mode. No disconnections have been recorded in centralized heating systems. Measures have been taken to reduce the load on heating networks. At the same time, as Viktor Karankevich reported, the necessary heating standards are ensured for both residential buildings and social facilities, as well as administrative buildings.

It was noted that, overall, Belarusian energy workers have implemented a set of measures in recent years to prevent emergency situations and minimize outages due to adverse weather conditions. Work in this direction will continue.
