Lukashenko to Head of Investigative Committee of Russia: We Adhere to One Line, One Position
"I always consider your visit to Belarus very important. And our meeting, and your visit to me, is not just a courtesy visit, as diplomats say. Although not without it. There is something to talk about, to discuss issues. You and I adhere to one line, one position. We have never had disagreements in assessing either internal or external factors of the existence of Russia and Belarus. Therefore, it is very important for me that you drop by to see me, even for a few minutes, and we can synchronize our watches. This is, I emphasize, very important for me. You are a true friend not only of mine but also of our Belarusian people," said the head of state.
Alexander Lukashenko noted that he follows Alexander Bastrykin's work as closely as possible. "I am very glad that in complex and difficult times you are still somehow managing to maintain your system, structure, and work for the benefit not only of Russia but also of our union, which we are striving to build," he said.
In turn, Alexander Bastrykin thanked for the opportunity to meet. "I would like to inform you that I have just attended a serious international conference dedicated to the genocide of the Soviet people, where I made a speech," he noted.
Following the meeting with the President, Bastrykin is scheduled for a working meeting with his colleagues from the Investigative Committee of Belarus. "We will summarize the results of our joint work for 2025 and outline prospects for 2026 in order to achieve results in our joint work on the main strategic areas of cooperation," said the head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
As reported by BELTA, Alexander Bastrykin in Minsk participated in the III International Scientific and Practical Conference dedicated to the 77th anniversary of the adoption of the United Nations Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.
