The growing interest of the Global Majority in partnerships with the EAEU indicates the relevance of the Eurasian integration model. This was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in an expanded format, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.

"The growing interest of the Global Majority in partnerships with our union speaks to the relevance of the Eurasian integration model, and emphasizes the role of our integration association as a pole of economic attraction. Despite all the shortcomings we discussed in a restricted format," Alexander Lukashenko stated.

The President of Belarus pointed to the formation of a strong foundation for the association of countries that share the same goals and a common understanding of how to achieve them. "I am pleased to welcome our friends in this hall – representatives of observer states to the Eurasian Economic Union, leaders of the Commonwealth of Independent States, as well as a high-level delegation from the Republic of Indonesia," the Belarusian leader addressed the participants of the meeting.

Alexander Lukashenko also thanked President of Russia Vladimir Putin for the invitation and the conditions created for productive work. "Following the established tradition, we meet on the eve of the New Year in a broad circle of like-minded people in the hospitable northern capital of Russia – St. Petersburg. We summarize the results of cooperation and update tasks for the future. Such traditions eloquently speak to the fact that our Union has taken shape," he is confident.
