Belarus is full of desire to do everything to establish the best relations with Oman. This was stated by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on October 6 during narrow-format talks with the Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, a BELTA correspondent reports.

At the beginning of the meeting, the head of the Belarusian state noted that the agreement on the visit of the Sultan of Oman was reached in December 2024, during the visit of the Belarusian leader to Oman. Thus, by arriving in Minsk, Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, one might say, kept his promise. "I want to officially state that you are a person of your word: you promised to come - you came," emphasized Alexander Lukashenko.

The President noted that the media called the visit of the Sultan of Oman to Minsk historic. "I share this point of view," said the Belarusian leader.

Alexander Lukashenko, addressing the distinguished guest, emphasized: "I want you to understand: we are full of desire to do everything to ensure the best relations between our countriesThe President assured that in the region where Oman is located, there is no country closer to Belarus than this one. "Therefore, we are ready to have relations with you in all directions. I want to assure you that if we agree on any issue, we will definitely fulfill it," the Belarusian leader emphasized.

"I want to assure you that you will not regret coming to Belarus," Alexander Lukashenko concluded. And with a touch of humor, he added: "Well, and I will be waiting for you (next time with a visit to Belarus. - BELTA's note) in winter."
