Lukashenko Appoints New Minister of Labor and Social Protection

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has appointed Andrei Lobovich as the Minister of Labor and Social Protection. Prior to this, the position was held by Nataliya Pavlyuchenko, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.

Andrei Lobovich is moving to the ministerial position from his post as Deputy Chairman of the State Control Committee of the Republic of Belarus.

Andrei Lobovich was born in 1978 in Slonim, Grodno Region.

In 2001, he graduated from the Belarusian State Economic University, and in 2015, from the Academy of Management under the President of the Republic of Belarus.

He began his career in 2001 as a leading economist in the budget inspection department of the financial department of the administration of the Partizansky District of Minsk. From 2004 to 2008, he held various positions in the administration of the Zavodskoy District of Minsk. From 2008 to 2010, he was the head of the financial department of the administration of the Frunzensky District of the capital.

From 2010 to 2012, he served as the head of the local budgets department of the main department of budget policy of the Ministry of Finance.

From 2012 to 2015, he was the first deputy head of the administration of the Zavodskoy District of Minsk.

From 2015 to 2021, he served as the first deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection.

Since June 18, 2021, he has been working as the Deputy Chairman of the State Control Committee.
